DAYCAMP
Bonehead Buddies began its 8th year in August 2011. We have become closely aquainted with many of the pooches in the area. We have also learned much about our four legged friends!
Our play area consists of about 500sqft of indoor space, and about 4000sqft of outdoor wooded natural landscape. Fresh water is available at all times.
We may occasionally take pups swimming in our natural spring-fed pond in the summer months, and often scoot off for a few trail hikes when staffing allows it.
OUR DAY
From the time Daycamp opens at 7am until rest time, your pooch is free to play inside/outside, hang out with one of us, or just chill if that is what they like. If a dog shows somewhat less than favorable behavior during play, a time out in a kennel will usually calm things down. We do our best to keep all owners informed of particular situations with their pup, so that we may work together to prevent future instances.
There is always fresh water available to the dogs.
When rest time begins, sometime between 11am and 12:30pm our more mischievous hounds are placed in kennels or crates, while the more subdued are free to sleep with one another in the indoor play area. We provide blankets or cots for rest time. We then leave the building for 1.5 hours for our lunch break. Someone will spend the majority of that time watching the dogs via video monitor at the house. The dogs use this time to recharge their batteries. If you would like to request a kennel for your pooch, don't hesitate to ask. We know our dogs well and use that knowledge to decide who needs, or prefers, to have his/her own space.
